Role-aware, cross-platform, and coherent — and shown honestly, from wireframe to shipped UI.
I co-led the design of Connect 2.X: one care-coordination system that reshaped itself for the professional caregiver, the family caregiver, the patient, and the admin — across a tablet portal, a native iOS bedside appliance, and admin web tools. Below, each screen is shown as what we started with next to what shipped.
One idea, three form factors, one language.
We built the interaction logic once — for medications, messaging, onboarding, and dashboards — then designed it for each surface and reconciled it all into a shared system rather than three lookalikes. A pattern had to mean the same thing on the appliance and on the web portal.
Role-based UX
One system reshaped for the professional caregiver, the family caregiver, the patient, and the admin.
iOS bedside appliance
A native patient-facing appliance for the bedside — a very different interaction context from the tablet portal.
Medication management
One of the highest-consequence flows in the system — designed for clarity and safety.
A shared design system
Buttons, forms, navigation, dashboard modules — unified so a pattern meant one thing everywhere.
What we started with, next to what shipped.
Every screen began as a low-fidelity wireframe — the structure and priorities, before any polish. Here each one sits beside the production comp it became, on the tablet caregiver portal and the CI admin web tool.
The dashboard. The caregiver’s home base — one role-aware screen pulling vitals, to-dos, medications, the Health Center, and the news feed together.
Vital signs. Clinical data made legible, not just present — each reading with its trend and timestamp.
Medications. The highest-consequence flow — add-a-medication on the left, the current regimen on the right, built for clarity and safety.
The Health Center. Assessments, tools, and library in one role-aware hub.
The admin web surface. Onboarding a new customer, with inline validation and a success state — the third, very different surface, in the same product language.
Real Health Harmony (Connect 2.X) comps from the engagement — the tablet caregiver portal and the CI admin web tool. Wireframes are medium-fidelity recreations of the structure each screen started from. (The native iOS bedside appliance is described above; those screens aren’t included here.)
A coherent design across three surfaces is only half the job. Getting it built without losing fidelity is the other half.
